Fabric Patterns
Fabric is an open-source framework with hundreds of crowdsourced prompt 'patterns' — extract_wisdom, summarize, analyze_claims, write_essay — each a refined, reusable system prompt for a specific task.
How to Install Prompts

- Paste the prompt template into the conversation
- Customise the prompt for your specific use case
Fabric's patterns directory is one of the largest curated prompt collections anywhere: hundreds of markdown system prompts for concrete tasks — summarizing papers, extracting insights from transcripts, analyzing claims, reviewing code, writing essays — each iterated on by a large community.
Use the patterns as raw prompt templates with Claude directly, or install the Fabric CLI to pipe content through them (`pbpaste | fabric --pattern extract_wisdom`). The patterns are plain markdown, so they adapt cleanly into Claude Projects, system prompts, or slash commands.Categories:
